Craig Bumpus is a sales professional with more than 20 years of experience in sales strategy, channel development, OEM distribution, and development of direct and indirect global sales teams for start-ups and large enterprises in the security and data protection industries.
As CEO and Founder of DPC Inc., Craig has built the fastest growing value added reseller for EMC, RSA and Sophos in the New England region, growing the business to more than $17M within its first year. DPC has already accepted 2 VAR awards from manufacturers highlighting business excellence.
Prior to founding DPC, Craig was VP of Enterprise Sales at Sophos, an enterprise security software company, which acquired Utimaco, where Craig was COO and General Manager. Throughout his time at Sophos and Utimaco, Craig achieved company revenue of 68% and 83%, respectively. At Utimaco, Craig secured relationships with large OEMs, such as Lenovo and IBM, leading to significant revenue growth.
At Cisco Systems, Craig played an integral role in the Andiamo, Inc. acquisition and was subsequently responsible for building that division, including defining the sales and go-to-market strategy and signing multiple OEMS, including but not limited to, STK, Sun Microsystems, Hitachi Data Systems, IBM, EMC, HP and Dell.
Previous to that, Craig was a Divisional Vice President at EMC where he had multiple responsibilities including direct enterprise sales with revenue targets exceeding $1 billion, as well as growing new divisions – among which was a 100% channel-focused small and medium commercial business division. He also started EMC inside sales, telemarketing, and training programs in 2002. Craig had more than a decade’s tenure in various sales management roles at EMC.
Craig holds degrees in International Business, Management and Marketing from the University of Rhode Island and is a guest professor at Babson College.
